What to do after checking
- Compare your aggregate with the cut-off for your course.
- Check JAMB CAPS often. Admission offers appear there, and you must accept them. Our CAPS guide shows how.
- Consider a change of course within UI if your score is below your course cut-off but above that of a related course. UI may also offer alternative courses.
- Upload your O’Level on the JAMB portal if you haven’t.
Frequently asked questions
My result shows on the UI portal. Does that mean I’m admitted?
No. The Post-UTME result is your screening score. Admission is confirmed only when it appears on JAMB CAPS and you accept it.
When does UI release its admission list?
UI usually releases admission in batches. Public universities must complete 2026/2027 admissions by 31 October 2026, according to JAMB.
