What new students should do
- Finish your admission steps before January. Accept your offer on JAMB CAPS and pay your acceptance fee. See how to accept admission on CAPS.
- Prepare documents for clearance and registration, which runs from 4 to 23 January. See what to do after gaining admission.
- Don’t miss the normal registration window. Late registration (25–30 January) usually attracts a penalty.
- Attend orientation (15–17 February) and matriculation on 1 February.
- Use add and drop (8–13 February) to correct your course registration.
What returning students should note
- Lectures start on 11 January, a week after registration opens, so pay fees and register early.
- Print your exam card during 12–17 April (first semester) and 6–11 September (second semester). You can’t sit exams without it.
- Final-year students should expect graduating results to be approved on 18 November 2027.
- If you’re relying on a student loan for fees, apply early. See our NELFUND guide.
