What new students should do

  1. Finish your admission steps before January. Accept your offer on JAMB CAPS and pay your acceptance fee. See how to accept admission on CAPS.
  2. Prepare documents for clearance and registration, which runs from 4 to 23 January. See what to do after gaining admission.
  3. Don’t miss the normal registration window. Late registration (25–30 January) usually attracts a penalty.
  4. Attend orientation (15–17 February) and matriculation on 1 February.
  5. Use add and drop (8–13 February) to correct your course registration.

What returning students should note

  • Lectures start on 11 January, a week after registration opens, so pay fees and register early.
  • Print your exam card during 12–17 April (first semester) and 6–11 September (second semester). You can’t sit exams without it.
  • Final-year students should expect graduating results to be approved on 18 November 2027.
  • If you’re relying on a student loan for fees, apply early. See our NELFUND guide.
