If you didn’t get all the credits you need in one exam, you can often combine two results, for example WAEC WASSCE and NECO SSCE, or WASSCE and GCE. This is called using two sittings.
What universities usually accept
- Five relevant credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- The two results can come from different exam bodies: WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.
Exceptions: when one sitting is required
- Some competitive courses, such as Medicine and some health courses, may require all credits in one sitting at certain universities.
- Some scholarships also require one sitting. For example, the 2026 NNPC/Seplat undergraduate scholarship required five credits including English and Mathematics in one sitting.
- Some universities deduct points from your O’Level score in the aggregate for two sittings.
Always check the requirements for your course in the JAMB brochure and your university’s screening notice.
How to combine your results for admission
- Make sure both results are released and not withheld.
- Go to an accredited CBT centre and upload both results to your JAMB profile.
- Bring both results (and scratch cards or tokens if requested) to Post-UTME screening and clearance.
