Why it matters
Medicine and Nursing are among the most competitive courses in Nigeria. Many candidates score well but can’t get a place. A new NUC-approved college adds places, and its graduates train as both health professionals and military officers.
Who should consider it
- Candidates who want to study Medicine or Nursing and are open to a military career.
- Candidates who meet the usual science requirements. Medicine and Nursing generally need credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with UTME in English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. See subject combinations.
Military colleges usually add their own fitness, medical and selection tests on top of academic screening. The announcement didn’t publish those requirements yet.
What we don’t know yet
The ministry didn’t publish application dates, cut-off marks or the military selection process. Candidates were told to watch official AFCOM-HS and JAMB channels for those details. We’ll update this page when they’re released.
For candidates already admitted elsewhere this year, remember the 31 October admission deadline.
