Enter your scores to see your aggregate out of 100.

Universities publish their own formulas, and catchment or ELDS candidates may be admitted at lower marks. Use this result as a guide and check your school's screening notice for its exact method.

How the calculator works

Nigerian universities combine your results into an aggregate out of 100. The three most common methods are:

  • UTME + Post-UTME (50:50): your UTME score divided by 8 (out of 50) plus your Post-UTME score scaled to 50.
  • UTME + Post-UTME + O’Level (40:40:20): UTME divided by 10 (out of 40), Post-UTME scaled to 40, and up to 20 points for five O’Level grades (A1 = 4, B2 = 3.6, B3 = 3.2, C4 = 2.8, C5 = 2.4, C6 = 2).
  • UTME + O’Level only (60:40): used by some schools that screen documents without a test.

What score do I need?

For 2026/2027, JAMB set 150 as the minimum UTME score for universities and colleges of nursing, and 100 for polytechnics. Competitive courses need far higher aggregates. See the full UNILAG cut-off list and UI cut-off list.

Is this calculator accurate for every university?

It uses the most common formulas. Your university may use a slightly different method or weight, so always confirm in its screening notice.

Why does my school’s cut-off look lower for some candidates?

Federal universities admit by merit, catchment and ELDS criteria, and catchment or ELDS cut-offs are usually lower. See our explainer.
